No matter how you chose to celebrate this time of year, Peoplehood have a whole host of fun things to get involved with this December. Whether you like to keep active, or hunker down and hibernate with a mince pie - we have something for you. More information down below.
And on behalf of the whole team, we want to wish you a safe and happy holiday period. We are truly grateful for every one of you for engaging with us this year and hope the rest of your 2023 is merry and bright.

Evaluation
During our time on Peoplehood, we have been keen to hear your voices and examine the impact our project has had on you and your community. Many of you have taken part in our surveys, interviews, and focus groups, and we have loved to hear your feedback on the activities, products, and services we have offered over the last three years.
Now that Peoplehood is reaching its end, over the next few months we will be looking to collect in our last pieces of feedback from our members. You may hear from us again inviting you to take part in surveys or to have a conversation with us about your experience as a volunteer or member. If this is the case, we encourage you to take part as it is your feedback that will shape the products and services and activities available in your neighbourhood moving forward!
Thank you! If you have any questions, please get in touch.
Joanne McFarlane our colleague from the University of Edinburgh will be contacting those of you who have been apart of co-design in the past few months. Please do talk to her about your experiences if you are able.

Staying Strong and Steady this Winter
To reduce our risk of being frail, we need to keep strong and steady. How do we do this? Keep moving about as much as you feel able and try to do some strength and balance work. Activities of everyday living are a great way to get moving, such as housework, shopping and pottering about. Spreading out your activities throughout the day help to reduce sedentary time. Adding in strength and balance activities at least twice a week help to keep your bones and muscles strong and reduce your risk of falls. They build your confidence which helps to keep you moving especially in the winter months.

Getting Outside this Winter
Getting outside is a great way to improve your wellbeing. It helps to keep you connected to your community, gets you active and is a great way to enjoy nature. In the winter weather it can be more difficult to get outside especially if you are frail. It may help you to do some strength and balance activities to build your confidence. Greenspaces are good for our wellbeing and can help you manage stress. If you are able, try to go out side for a short local walk.
If our Monday walking group isnt enough, our partners at Glasgow Life have another walking group on a Wednesday that leaves from Bellahouston Leisure Centre Cafe at 1.30pm.
